MORBIDITY RATE
Frequency by which an illness or sickness appears in a particular population. Used in actuarial professions like health insurance, life insurance, and long-term care insurance, it determines the right premium rates to charge to customers. It also helps insurers to predict the frequency an insured will contract or grow any number of specified diseases.
