MORTGAGE APPLICATION
A document submitted by one or more individuals to lending institutions for them to borrow money and purchase a real estate property. It contains information about the potential borrower’s background and financial data as well as the property they want to purchase like its address, year built, and price. Lenders and underwriters use the information to assess whether money should be lent to the applicants and if so, how much money, for how many years payable, and interest rate.
