MOST ACTIVE LIST
Listing of stocks with the largest trading volumes on an exchange for a given time period, usually single trading day. In general, the most active lists in the United States and Canada are composed of the most broadly followed stock on their indexes such as Dow Jones Industrial Average and S&P 500 in the US, and TSX/S&P Composite Index in Canada. Other constituents of the most active list may have had some significant information released on these stocks that day, leading in trading volumes that are way above average.
