OLD-AGE AND SURVIVORS INSURANCE TRUST FUND
This trust fund is used to pay benefits to retired workers, beneficiaries and their children. It receives deposits from FICA, which is considered to be above the amount needed for the everyday operations of old-age and survivors insurance under social security.
