REVERSE TAKEOVER - RTO
A merger that is used by a private company to be publicly traded without resorting to an IPO. The private company initially buys enough shares to control a publicly traded company. Then, the shareholder of the company uses their shares in the private company to exchange shares in the public company. The private company has become a publicly traded one at that point.
