SEC FORM DEFS14C
SEC Form DEFS14C is also referred to as ‘definitive information statement for special meeting’. This means that SEC Form DEFS14C is a filing that is required to be submitted when a registrant wants to hold a special meeting under the Securities and Exchange Commission. SEC Form DEFS14C may be applied by all security holders who have a right to vote on issues where the company was not soliciting proxies. The data gathered by SEC Form DEFS14C gives security holders with information similar to the information found in Schedule 14A along with data regarding specific people namely officers, associates, and directors. It also identifies people who had interest in corporate matters that varied from the interest of general shareholders and people who has intentions to oppose action that is to be undertaken by a corporation at the shareholders meeting. SEC Form DEFS14C is mandated as a statement that no proxies are solicited.
