SENIOR SECURITY
Senior Security is a security that is prioritized above all other securities in case of liquidation or bankruptcy. The word ‘senior’ in senior security signifies that the security is above all other securities in the hierarchy of capital providers of the company. The payment received goes firstly to the holders of the most-senior security, the next one goes to the holders of the second-most senior security, and so on.
