SETTLEMENT PRICE
Settlement Price is a term used in the derivatives markets. It is the average price of the contract when it is traded at the open and close of every trading day. The settlement price for determines the gains and losses of the day along with market requirements. It also determines if the trader must post additional margins. A settlement price is set with specified procedures that varies from exchange to exchange and instrument to instrument.
