SETTLEMENT RISK
Settlement risk is the risk that at the time of settlement, any of the obligations in the contract of the transaction has or have not been satisfied. It is also the risk associated with default at settlement. Timing discrepancies in the settlement for the parties are also settlement risk. Settlement risk is prone to becoming principal risk.
