SHORT SELLING
Short selling is the act of selling a borrowed security with the belief that the price of a security will fall so that it may be repurchased thus making profit. Investors short sell if they have a speculation or feeling that prices will go down. Short selling is also down by investors that want to hedge the risk of a long position in the same security. Short selling is apt for experienced traders since it, theoretically, has infinite risk.
