SOUTH AFRICAN RESERVE BANK
The South African Reserve Bank is the reserve bank of the Republic of South Africa equivalent to the United States’ Federal Reserve Bank. Established in 1921, it formulates and imposes monetary policies in the country. It also regulates financial system efficiency and promotes the education of its citizens regarding the country’s economic situation, etc. One special feature of the South African Reserve Bank is that it is owned privately.
