SYNERGY
Concept stipulating the combined value and performance of two companies are greater than the total of each individual parts. Most commonly used in mergers and acquisitions, synergy or the potential financial benefit is frequently a driving force in a merger. Shareholders will benefit if the firm’s post-merger share price escalates due to the agreement’s synergistic effect. Cost reduction, increased revenues, and combined talent and technology are some of the factors encompassing synergy.
