TAKEUNDER
Offer to acquire or purchase a publicly traded company in which the offer price is lower than its current market price. Almost always unsolicited, such offers are generally made when the target company undergoes a severe financial distress or endures other major problems which threatens its viability in the long run. Takeunder is similar to a takeover in most aspects except for offer price.
