TAXABLE INCOME
Amount of income subject to income taxes, which is computed by subtracting the gross income or adjusted gross income to any deductions, exemptions, or any other adjustments allowed within a tax year. Aside from salary, it is also generated from appreciated assets sold or capitalized during the tax year, interest income, and dividends. Incomes are taxed according to the tax bracket and computed separately by an individual or company.
