TAXABLE GAIN
Profit from selling an asset subject to taxation. It pertains to the difference between the purchase price and sale price of an asset. Subject to capital gains tax, its rate and application depending on the country and the asset. Gains are normally generated from selling investment vehicles such as bonds and stocks, and other types of assets including real estate property.
