UNISSUED STOCK

Unissued stock is stock that has not been sold to investors yet. It is rightfully owned by the company and is authorized to be issued. Usually, unissued stock is insignificant to stockholders except for the fact that when sold, unissued stock present the risk of diluting an existing ownership. The difference between unissued stock and treasury stock is that treasury stock has been already sold but later on has been bought back by the company.
