WELFARE STATE
Welfare State refers to a concept of government wherein the state has a significant involvement in the protection and promotion of its citizens’ economic and social well-being. It is a system founded on the principles of equality of opportunity and equitable distribution of wealth and responsibility for individuals who cannot provide themselves with the basic provisions of a good life.
