ACTIVITY COST DRIVER
A factor which contributes or influences the expense of various business operations. In an activity based costing (ABC), the activity cost driver is something which stirs the cost of a specific activity. For example, a factory may take a running machinery as an activity. The machine operating hours which would stir the maintenance, power consumption, and cost of labor of running the machinery activity maybe the activity cost driver associated with running the machinery.
