ADDITIONAL COLLATERAL
Extra assets brought up to serve as collateral by a borrower to oppose debt obligations. The additional collateral aims to lessen the risk connected with the lender. Creditors might oblige an extra collateral for a given loan to maintain a constant interest level, or to appease a credit committee or investors. The collateral might include equipment, letters of credit , certificates of deposit, stock or cash.
