ADJUSTABLE-RATE PREFERRED STOCK - ARPS
A kind of preferred stock where the dividends that are issued will depend on a benchmark, often on a T-bill rate. The dividend value from the preferred share is arranged by a predetermined formula to adjust according to the rates, and because of this flexibility, the preferred prices are usually more stable than fixed-rate preferred stocks.
