AMERICAN RULE
It is a rule in economics and law that states attorney fees should be shouldered by each party that is involved in a case or in litigation even though the party actually wins the case. There is an exception to this rule that can occur therein the court will award the winning party an amount of compensation to cover these fees against the losing party that acted in bad faith.
