ANNUITY CERTAIN
A financial instrument which provides a stream of payments, for a number of years which is determined beforehand. An annuity certain will persist a stream of payments remitted to the beneficiary or estate of the annuitant, if the he/she dies prior to the end of payment term. The payments are done on a regular schedule, such as annually, semiannually, quarterly, or monthly.
