BRIDGE LOAN
Short-term financing obtained until an individual or company removes an prevailing obligation or secures longer term financing. The loan provides immediate cash flow to sustain its current obligations. Such loans have relatively high interest rates and are backed by collateral such as inventory or real estate. Also called gap financing, interim financing, or swing loan.
