CAPITATION PAYMENTS
Agreed payment in a capitation contract between a health insurance firm and a medical provider. It is a fixed, pre-arranged monthly payment a physician received, clinic, or hospital per patient engaged in a health plan. Monthly payment is computed one year in advanced and remains fixed for the given year, regardless of the services the patient avails and the frequency of its usage.
