CASH FOR CLUNKERS
Colloquial term for the United States’ Car Allowance Rebate System (CARS). The program allows car owners to trade in their old and less fuel-efficient vehicles in turn for more fuel-efficient cars. It gives individual who are eligible for a potential credit of up to $4,500, depending on the vehicle purchased.
