CASH-VALUE LIFE INSURANCE
Life insurance policy which pays out upon the holder’s death and accumulates cash value over his lifespan. The policyholder may use the cash value as a tax-sheltered investment, because the fund can be borrowed to pay off premiums in the future, or it can be handed over to their inheritors. The three types of cash-value life insurance are whole life, universal life, and variable life.
