COOLING DEGREE DAY - CDD
Number of degrees an average temperature in a day is over 65o Fahrenheit and individuals begin using air conditions to cool their establishments. During summer season, the price of weather derivatives is based on an index comprised of the cooling degree day value every month. Its settlement price is computed by adding a month’s CDD value then multiplying it by $20.
