COVERED CALL
Options strategy in which an investor holds a long position in an asset and writes call options on the similar asset at the same time in order to generate higher income from that asset. It is frequently used when an investor has a short-term neutral view on the asset; hence, he simultaneously goes long on the asset and takes a short position through the option to earn income from the option premium. Also called buy-write.
