DUAL-STATUS TAXPAYER
Taxpayer which has fulfilled the criteria to be both a resident and nonresident alien in a tax year. The individual’s duality status refers only to the residence. Only non-American citizens can meet the criteria for this status. Also called dual-status aliens.
