ENRON
American energy trading and utilities firm which brought one of the largest accounting frauds in history. Its executives incorporated accounting acts which falsely inflated its revenue. At the height of the scandal, the company became the seventh biggest company in the United States. When the fraud ended, it filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2001.
