Also called Pusat Investasi Pemerintah (PIP), it is a sovereign wealth fund managed by the Ministry of Finance. Created in 2006, the Government Investment Unit aims to establish macroeconomic stability and help cultivate economic growth by investing in various investment instruments such as debt, equity, as well as invest directly in the economies of foreign countries.
