INCOME PROPERTY MORTGAGE
Loan given to an investor to buy a residential or commercial rental property. Normally, these are much difficult to qualify for and frequently require a borrower to include estimates of the rental income to be received from the property. Unlike owner-occupied and single-family residences, there are few government loan programs that assist in purchasing income properties. The mortgage leaves investors at the hands of private lenders, who are at the mercy of the credit markets.
