INFORMATION SILO
An information management system that is unable to freely communicate with any other system. Communication is always vertical, making it hard or unattainable for the system to work with unfamiliar ones. It occurs when the management believes they cannot derive many benefits from sharing information, and that information may not be useful to individuals in other systems.
