INVOLUNTARY CASH-OUT
Distribution of the balance of a participant’s retirement account under an eligible plan without the written permission of the participant, his or her spouse or beneficiary. It normally happens if participant’s balance is less than $5,000 and he or she is either no longer employed by the company that sponsors the qualified plan, or has died.
