ISHIKAWA DIAGRAM

Diagrams that show the causes of a given event. It is frequently used in manufacturing and product development to sum up the several steps in a process, show where quality control issues might emerge, and figure out which resources are needed at specific times. Developed by Kaoru Ishikawa in 1960s, it is a method of gauging quality control processes in shipbuilding industry. Also called fishbone diagram and cause-and-effect diagram.
