JOSEPH EFFECT
The idea that movements in a time series has the tendency to be part of the bigger trends and cycles more often that they are totally random. Measured by the Hurst movement, movements fall between a Hurst range of 0 to 1. The term was coined by Polish-born, French and American mathematician Benoit Mandelbrot.
