LAND FLIP
A fraudulent act in the real estate industry whereas a group of people will buy an undeveloped piece of land and increase its value above the actual value. This illegal practice happens when mendacious buyers purchase a parcel of land for a certain price; then they resell the land at a highly inflated price in every transaction. When the property’s value declines to its original market value, the buyer will not be able to recoup from its own sale of the land.
