A standardized set of rankings used to measure the performance of a banking or financial institution in investment areas like debt and equity issuance, merger and acquisition participation, earnings, municipal bond sales, private equity inflows or any other relevant metrics. Companies use these rankings for bragging rights and acquiring new businesses, as well as in attracting top talent to the firms.
