LEHMAN INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITY NOTE - LION
A zero-coupon Treasury bond, issued by the US Government via Lehman Brothers. This is created to be a new breed of security that separates principal and interest, and issued at a discount. LIONs are no regular interest payments to bond holders. The investment return comes from the difference between the discounted issue price and the standard value received at maturity.
