LEVEL 1
A trading service that flashes bid/ask quotes (in real-time) and last sales for securities trading in a stock exchange. Level 1 price quotes provide essential information, which is sufficient for most investors, but not for active traders. In general, traders need the Level 2 quotes that have the complete order book and market depth facts.
