LEVEL 1 ASSETS
Assets that have readily observable prices and a reliable fair market value, as explained in the Financial Accounting Standards Board Statement 157. Level 1 assets include many publicly traded stocks, bonds, funds, and other assets that are priced on a regular "mark to market" mechanism. Publicly traded companies must categorize all of their assets based on the ease that it can be valued, Level 1 Assets being the easiest.
