MAKE TO STOCK - MTS
A traditional production and inventory strategy used by companies to produce products based on the anticipated demand of the consumers. The method predicts demand to figure out how much stock should be manufactured. When the demand is forecasted accurately, this strategy can be very cost effective. But the drawback of MTS method is inaccurate or unrealistic forecasting of demand, which can lead to huge losses from excessive inventory or stockouts.
