Ethically sales practice where the salesperson misrepresents or misleads an investor about the characteristics or features of a product or service. In his or her aim to make a sale to a potential customer, he or she would leave certain facts or describe a product as something the investor needs, even though the information could help the investor make a more informed judgment whether to buy the investment or not.
