SEASONED ISSUE
Seasoned Issue is an issue of additional securities. It comes from an established company that have securities that have been already traded in the secondary market. Another term for seasoned issue is ‘seasoned equity offering’ and ‘follow-on offering’. Blue-chip companies that issue new shares have these new shares classified as seasoned issues. Another kind of seasoned issues are outstanding bonds that are traded in secondary markets.
