Secure Electronic Transaction (SET) is an electronic card payment protocol. The use of SET is to regulate security for a safe transmission of consumer credit card information through electronic avenues like the internet. Some of the actions of SET is to block out details in the credit card to prevent hackers and merchants alike to access private information.
