SETTLEMENT DATE ACCOUNTING
Settlement Date Accounting is an accounting method similar to trade date accounting. It is used by accountants and bookkeepers alike for recording transactions in the general ledger of a company after a given transaction has been settled. It is when the performance of both parties within a transaction has been satisfied. At the settlement, all interest related to any transaction is accrued under settlement date accounting.
