SRI LANKAN RUPEE
SLR is the abbreviation for the currency in Sri Lanka which is the Sri Lankan rupee. For every Sri Lankan rupee there is 100 cents. The currency is, more often than not, represented by a ‘Rp.’ or ‘Rs.’ sign. To differentiate it from other rupee currencies, it may be represented as ‘SLRp.’ or ‘SLRs.’ It was active in the times of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka or the time of Ceylon before 1972. Ceylon is a nation that is an island located in the India’s southern coast.
