STUFFING
Act of selling undesirable securities from the broker-dealer’s account to their clients. Brokers-dealers seek to avoid taking losses from securities that are awaited to decline in value, and transfer the losses into their client accounts. It can also pertain to increasing cash quickly when securities are somewhat illiquid and difficult to sell in the market.
