SURTAX
Tax levied on top aside from the tax applied to individuals and companies. It is computed as a percentage of a specific tax rate or it can be a flat dollar amount. Revenues from surtax are used to finance a particular government program. It allows taxpayers to know easily the amount of money the government is collecting and spending for a specific program.
