TAXABLE PREFERRED SECURITIES
Preferred equity security not eligible for the deduction on dividends for companies of preferred stocks, as per Section 243 of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Code. Normally junior level liabilities, the coupons connected to these securities are either fixed or variable with specific or indefinite maturities. Also called hybrid preferred securities.
